What's worse than a 4 year old with the flu?

A one year old with the flu!!! We spent our Christmas weekend nursing Haley who had a terrible flu. Today was the first day she was doing great. We were all getting ready to go for a walk and get out of the house when Elsie got sick. I will spare you all the gruesome details, but lets just say it has not been pleasant. I thought it was awful to have a four year old with the flu, but a one year old is so much worse! At least Haley had some sense of responsibility with her "symptoms", if not to make it to the bathroom, to turn away from you. Not a one year old. There is no warning...no common courtesy, just BAM! All we can do is cover the carpet and sofas with towels and blankets, try to stay close with a bowl, use plenty of hand sanitizer and keep the laundry moving. I hope everyone is staying healthier than us.

All I want for Christmas is a box

Elsie keeps us laughing. Like most small children, the packaging was more exciting than the gifts. She climbed in any box of any size and loved it! Merry Christmas everyone.

My First Beanie

I loved this beanie on Haley. I put it on Elsie this weekend when Jeff took her on a run. I couldn't help thinking of when Haley wore it, so I dug out a picture.

My Sister

My sister Jen is amazing! Words can not express how much I appreciate her. I admire her talent, style, compassion and energy. She inspires, teaches and motivates me. I am so grateful for everything she does for me. Recently she took pictures of my family for our holiday card and she did such a great job! Let's just say it was no easy task:

It shows true talent that she managed to capture anything usable based on the behavior of my kids. Oh, and did I mention she made the flowers the girls are wearing. Thanks for everything Jen!!!! Love you.
